Star Brows
It looks natural!
Starbrows is a method Jameson has developed using a manual pen. In the United States the manual pen method is more popular than the electrical. Here in Australia it would probably be the other way round. Jameson uses the term
“starbrows”
to differentiate this process from traditional permanent makeup techniques that most every other consultant practices. As far as we know, Jameson is the only eyebrow stylist using this particular combination of manual pen, light stokes, minimal invasion, and planned out sessions over a period of time to build and finesse the design for exceptional results.
What is important to understand about Starbrows, is that looks more natural than pencil looks. Below, Jameson discusses Starbrows in a recent interview;
” …when I draw it for clients at first with pencil, I tell them it will look nicer than that once we have done it with the permanent. The only thing that comes up, is that people say they don’t want to go back to the office looking like I have had anything done. And I say there is one little problem there, the colors usually fade 30% at least, so I need to make it a little darker, but I say if you like it to be exactly the color you like and have nobody know, as long as you’re aware that in a week to ten days it’ll fade and then we’ll have to go over it a little but and then you’ll be more confident about the process.
I mean, this morning I had a client come in and I just did a little extension on the ends, that was all we did. I have lots of clients every week that say, once we’ve done the eyebrows, they say wow, jeez, that has just changed everything, I can’t believe that it can make such a difference, you know? I go in very lightly and gently. And if they like it, they can come back and I can add to it, make it last longer. So if the clients are scared of the electrical I can do the whole eyebrow manually.”
Starbrows is such a great idea, it is just a step below semi-permanent. You can have a sophisticated brow design, shape and color, but it only lasts 2-3 months, so those of us who are a bit unsure can test it out.
